No, recommended, not required.

Overall (not directing this at you), this continues to be a big issue with
theme reviewers overstepping their bounds in reviews by listing things as
implied required without explicitly defining that certain things are
*only*recommended.

It's well overdo for admins to crack down on this. Most reviewers do this,
it's not an isolated issue.
