[theme-reviewers] Can a theme be reviewed with Akismet plugin?

Yes, I have done that. Moreover I have disabled sign up process, but still got those comments and discussion isn't open for all.

Of course. Spam blocking won't interefere with your review activities at all. 


Something that will help: ensure that comments are closed for all posts and pages except for the "Comments Test" post, and the "Page with Comments" page.
