[theme-reviewers] Theme options that require upgrade?

The search and social icon box looks just like a lot like a widget and is
in the sidebar, which in my opinion, would confuse an end user who was
trying to replace it. What if the end user wished to use a different search
or social plugin, or really needed a different widget to be at the top?
Couldn't the social/ search non-widget be made into a custom widget?
