[theme-reviewers] re-releasing an old theme under old name or new name?

The iblog theme has not been updated for 2 years, and the developer (pagelines) now has a 'pro' version they sell.  I've been using the old version and plan on re'releasing it (under GPL, with credit to original author) with some improvements on wordpress.org.

Is it best to do it under original name (http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/iblog) and is this possible, or do I just release it under a new name?

!This theme hasn't been updated in over 2 years. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.
