[theme-reviewers] Figerty Theme

Hi guys/gals

Yeah Doug, I ran it through there. The only issues (if issues at all) it
disclosed were Recommendations. Now, anyone who is submitting for the first
time would see these as simply Recommendations or Suggestions. I certainly
did and when the theme was refused on these grounds, that's when I got
frustrated.
In saying that, I do apologise for my frustration. I am not usually like
that at all. I have since corrected the issues outlined in the review and
have resubmitted the theme. It now awaits review. :P
I have also joined the WPTRT and have been busy today doing themes because I
had an easy day at work. :P

I do agree that the Theme Check plugin should be pushed on developers to use
before submitting themes. It should be mandatory for them to install the
plugin and the test data too and test before submitting.

God Bless.
Dan (figerty).

There used to be a "resources" section on the Theme Review Codex page, but
it has since been moved elsewhere. The Theme Review page is intended to be
the Guidelines, and *only* the Guidelines.

That said: if you follow through to the Theme Unit
Tests<http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Review>Codex page, you'll see a
link to How To Join WPTRT:

Read How To Join
WPTRT<http://make.wordpress.org/themes/about/how-to-join-wptrt/>,
and follow all test-environment setup instructions

The setup instructions on How To Join WPTRT includes a step to install
Theme Check. :)

Right, but not all theme devs think "Oh, I should join TRT" and thus
miss out on that info. I think this is one of those cases and thus we
ought to think about adding a link, prominently, to the submission
process.

I think the plugin link should be included in the guidelines themselves,
under best practices.

I think it would be useful for the header section of
http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Review to at least have a link to
some other page that lists resources/tools/other links for theme
authors to take note of. Don't need a resources section on that page
itself, but if there's another page with that info, linking to it
would be nice.
