I didn't need any exceptions for slidingdoor I just linked back to the theme url in style.css.

If you don't link to a company URL then you won't need an exception.

@chip: I think he's talking about what appears in the theme preview in wordpress.org

eg http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/sliding-door
