Not really, no.

Use the GPLv2 if you can, for maximum compatibility. The only reason
to use GPLv3 is if you make use of libraries that are not compatible
with the GPLv2.

If you do use the GPLv3, then a number of people will be unable to use
your code in any way. Including me.
