[theme-reviewers] Post type detected as an attachment

Hello reviewers,

It could be a support forum-alike question, but didn't find that case
exactly and decided to check here as well.

I have three custom post types, one of them is books, I have book listing
and so on. But I cant set a post template.

I checked on Justin's post here

where
he describes I could use single-myposttype.php but no luck. What I find more
annoying is that get_post_type() in my loop returns attachment post type.
I'm pretty sure it's a book as I have books listing and addition in the
admin panel and I actually click 'View book' to load the single view there.

Any hints what could I have missed?
