[wp-hackers] next_post and previous_post

I'm having some problems using next_post() and previous_post() in
1.3-alpha-3.  I'm getting this error:

Database error: [You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the
manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right
syntax to use near 'ORDER BY post_date ASC LIMIT 0,1' at line 1]
SELECT ID,post_title FROM wp_posts WHERE post_date > '' AND post_date
< '2004-09-16 16:06:33' AND post_status = 'publish' AND ID != ORDER BY
post_date ASC LIMIT 0,1

Can anybody out there help me?
