After getting some more comment spam this morning, I decided to finish
my rewrite of this plugin. 

Description:

This plugin adds a “Delete comments as spam” button to the comments mass
editing page. When used to delete unwanted comments, the email address,
url, and IP address, and any links in the comment body, will be added to
your spam words list. Future comments matching any of those items will
automatically be moderated.

        New features include: 
      * User approval and editing of the items being added to the spam
        list before they’re added.
      * The “Delete Comments as Spam” button is now inserted via the
        DOM, and no longer requires editing of core files.
      * Backwards compatible with version 1.1. So if you’ve already
        edited edit-comments.php you can install version 2.0 and it
        won’t break your page.
      * Complete documentation.
      * GPG signed code to ensure that it hasn’t been tampered with.
      * Includes full documentation.
