When the option functions are given a scalar they should just pass it 
through, but when they're given an array they should transparently 
serialize and unserialize on storage and retrival. We have a lot of crap 
handling option rows with multiple values right now.

We should automatically autoload = no options that strlen > ? (maybe 5000)
