[wp-hackers] next previous day links?

Has anyone created (or does there already exist in the core code) - or
is anyone working on creating a plugin that will show you next
previous posts based on the day?
i.e. you're looking at an "archive" page - (page views all the posts
for that particular day) - and shows next previous links to show the
next day's post / previous days post

It seems like it would be simple enough, so I'm surprised that I
couldn't find it searching through the "usual suspects" (speaking of
the value of a central database of plugins...) ;-)
