 * who you are
Graham Walker; med student, blogger, general computer nerd.

* why you're here
Just started hacking the design and code of the back- and front-ends
of WP a couple days ago to use it as a simple CMS for an online
community health resource center here at Stanford. One of many little
projects I'm working on for the summer. No URL just yet, still trying
to get some official server space.

* what you'd like to get out of this list
I have no CS background, and kinda just learned PHP from reading other
people's code and seeing examples on php.net. I'd like to learn from
people that actually know what they're doing, as opposed to my
patchwork knowledge.

* More info
The latest challenge is getting the search query to include metadata
(meta_value and meta_key). Just gave up for the evening, but I'll
probably get it figured out tomorrow. If you've already done it,
please let me know!

Maybe everyone knows about this, but if you're looking to run a local
installation of WP, go download EasyPHP (http://www.easyphp.org/).
It's a self-installer that installs and configures Apache, MySQL, and
PHP for use on a Windows box. Really simple to use, and it's been
really nice not to have to upload everything everytime.
