That said,

I read the discussion on documentation for WP's core.

Whenever there is a demand for documentation, I find that it's due to
someone (or many people) wanting to save themselves time and work, but
often the fact that developing that documentation takes a lot of time,
and that developing documentation is boring and unrewarding, is
overlooked.

The developers cannot be asked to document the source, and the users
a) may not know enough or b) may not be willing to do this.

How, then, do we get the source/core features documented?

I forget this is the hackers mailing list and not the docs list :)
