I'm David Chait. I've been hacking and extending WP for about 7 months now,
with my results visible at www.chait.net.  I'm one of the believers that WP
is both a good blog for the average user as well as a 'basic CMS' for more
aspiring folks. ;)

I have four hacks out for the public (CG-Amazon, CG-Feedread, CG-Referer,
and SameCat), two migrated to support working as Plugins, and about a
half-dozen other things that I've yet to extract and pass along.  Maybe when
I migrate to 1.2/1.3... ;)  Feedread and Referer actually started as hacks
that other people had left unsupported, and have evolved to the point
there's very little 'original code' left.

I've got my heavily-used hacks/plugins, plus all my 'private' hacks, and
want to help improve the extensibility of WP while figuring out how to best
maintain compatability over some extended period of time.  And pass along
what I've learned along the path to building a fast-growing 'commercial'
WP-based site...  Also looking to hear what others are doing.

I'd like to get core hack/plugin topics out on the table, more open
discussion of what's actively happening for future releases, help teach
others, learn from others, and avoid landmines at all costs. :)  Cooperate
on improving WP.
