[wp-hackers] 'Dashboard': is this a future development?

After the current menu restructure I'm just wandering whether wp-admin/index.php
will eventually be developed into something meaningful, perhaps like the Design
Mockup [1] home page? It was never linked to before (aside from silently
through /wp-login.php) and now it is I was just thinking what was going to
happen with it.
