Wow, that's a tad dramatic. This is a known bug and you can remove the 
code if you want, or I'll have a real fix a little bit later. It looks 
like her site was spidered by a bad robot that didn't know how to 
properly handle relative links. One obivous solution would be for the 
code not to include anything after wp-login.php in the URI when doing 
the update.
