Comment:

 I wasn't able to replicate using BuddyPress latest version (8.0.0-alpha),
 Twenty Twenty-One and the Nouveau template pack (with no other plugins).
 If you have other installed plugins than BuddyPress, deactivate them all.
 Activate a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-One. Check the bug
 and if it's still there, please reopen this ticket with as much
 explanations as you can to help me reproduce the bug.
