 Hi @maelga

 Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you that the Private Messages
 component has parts that, functionality-wise, are outdated. I don't know
 if read receipts are one of those things. I think we'd want to review
 Messages holistically and decide what new features, like these, would fit
 into that.

 I don't think this will move forward quickly (many months, at best), but
 we'll keep your suggestion around for when some group of people decide to
 try to tackle that problem.
