 Using BP 1.7.2 and WP 1.5.1: when users edit their extended profile and
 click to submit, they receive this error:

 '''''There was a problem updating some of your profile information, please
 try again.'''''

 From this open ticket from 20 months ago using a considerably older
 version of BP, I got the idea to test for blank fields:
 http://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/3649 .

 After testing, it looks like this does not occur when *all* extended
 profile fields are filled out. So it's occurring from null/unselected
 optional fields.

 I don't see any other documentation on people experiencing this with BP
 1.7+, any clue as to what may be happening here and how to resolve this?
