 It sounds like you have installed the BuddyPress Skeleton Component, or
 the Facebook plugin has a crummy implementation of the Skeleton Component.
 Disable the plugin and contact the plugin author for more details.

 If it turns out that this is, indeed, a BP bug, please reopen with
 details.
