 Yup, sure. Will have a look at Pauls Ticket. Have also worked with BP Labs
 a while ago for a client and will check it out again. Where else is
 autocomplete being considered at the moment apart form @mentions?

 The way I'd rewrite it would certainly be in a more general way with
 reusable functions so it could be easily adopted by other components.

 I don't think that the size of UI is that much of an issue for a social
 network. It would be cached pretty fast, especially if it's being used in
 more components than just messages.
