 +1 for modemlooper's mock-up.

 I also think the reason that people might delete the pages might be the
 same reason I deleted them, that they don't want them in the nav menu.
 When BP creates the Register page, it doesn't get added to the nav menu.
 Not every single page is designed to be viewed from the nav menu. The bp-
 privacy plugin creates a page that presumably is designed to viewed during
 maintenance. That doesn't need to be in the nav menu. If they were hidden
 by default, or if this was an obvious way to hide them, then people
 wouldn't delete them.
