[bbDev] Fwd: [wp-hackers] WordPress accepted into Google Summer of Code 2008

Hi,

I'm re-posting a message to the WordPress hackers list below.

WordPress will be a part of the Google Summer of Code 2008 [ http://code.google.com/soc/2008/ 
  ] and will accept submissions from students who want to work on  
bbPress. Both myself (sambauers) and Michael D. Adams (mdawaffe) are  
mentors this year.

You can discuss your ideas on this list, which is a good idea if you  
plan to submit a student application.

There is one existing bbPress idea published on the WordPress codex [ http://codex.wordpress.org/GSoC2008#Web_Forums_Export.2FImport_Standard_and_Tools 
  ], which is actually an extension of a feature development started  
by mdawaffe a while ago. New ideas will be warmly welcomed.
