[bbDev] How to change character encoding in bbPress?

Hello,
As I am a newbie to bbpress, just running it on a site for a few days, I  
would like to know whether/how it is possible to change the encoding from  
iso-8859-1 to utf-8. I would prefer to use utf-8 as I do have character  
encoding problems, because in Germany we have some special characters  
which are working better in utf-8.
