[bbDev] initial reactions

Matt (and Co),

Thanks for writing some nice clean forum software!  I've playing with 
an install today, and my first impression is that this has been long 
over due.

My initial reactions after an hour or two playing around are:

1. there's no feedback after an invalid login

2. I can't seem to access the $forums array in header.php -- my aim was 
to have the forums listed in every page via the header of the template.

3. i see an option in the config for mod_rewrites, but the download 
didn't have a htaccess file, so I have no idea what to do to get the 
rewrites working

I'm sure all of this will get sorted out of course, but I'd love an 
answer to #2 sooner rather than later if possible.
