If it's of interest to anyone, i am keeping notes as i progress.

i am hoping to help with as much as i can, but for now it looks like my 
only real use is in reporting issues on the user side. i wish i was 
more helpful.

as the board is up, i am going to ask a small group of people to join 
me in alpha testing my board's install.
they are smart, and code better than i do.
so perhaps i can recruit a few folks to join us and help usher in a 
full working version.

feeling useless, wanting to help.
