 In 0.9, you could have the plugins organized on subfolders of my-plugins.
 In 1.0-rc1, if you have the plugins in a subfolder them do not activate.

 I tested with some plugins and always get the same behavior: If they are
 directly placed in /my-plugins, them activate and work perfect, but if
 located in a subfolder (like /my-plugins/subfolder), they do not activate.

 I think the plugins should activate when located in a subfolder, like do
 in 0.9 or, if have to be located in /my-plugins with no subfolders, make
 it not to appear in the plugins list.
