 The purpose of a template is to deliver the visual output the designer
 specifies. Not only at the time they wrote the template, but going forward
 into the future. By changing default behavior, you are not honoring that
 original specification. And designers get really annoyed when their old
 code suddenly looks different.

 If you want to change the default, you should depreciate the existing
 function, create a function with a new name, and apply the new defaults
 only to the new function.
