 I don't think so... we don't have any support for full Atom feeds at all.

 If you are talking about this line:

 {{{
 xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom"
 }}}

 and this:

 {{{
 <atom:link href="http://example.org/rss/" rel="self"
 type="application/rss+xml" />
 }}}

 They are valid extensions of the RSS DTD.
