 Totally disagree. Lots of people stick to default templates for the
 software they use based on what I've seen of phpBB, and the default theme
 is one of the key things people associate software with (because the
 default theme is seen so often). A bad theme reflects very badly on the
 software. (Similarly, bb does not keep bad code because it's trivial to
 fix by installing a certain plugin.)
