 Yea when there are sidebars on both sides of the main area the template
 designers are just using an include and not the WP get_sidebar function.
 However, and as I said I'm novice, I think the idea I posted earlier might
 be a good idea for setting up the get_sidebar() function to except an
 argument. I however agree the argument should be more general than left
 and right, especially with the creative ways people are bending WP and
 BBpress theme presentation. I'll throw something together if I get a
 chance.
