 I've added a patch which might be a good enough band aid for the broken
 password mismatch reporting in branches 0.9

 That way mdawaffe can concentrate on a better 1.0 implementation.

 If the template changes in the patch are not going to cause too many
 headaches when people go from 0.9 -> 1.0, this is ready to go.
