 3. I think the filters we have on {{{bb_get_tag_heat_map}}},
 {{{tag_heat_map}}}, and {{{bb_related_tags_heat_map}}} are good enough in
 terms of pluggability (sorry so1o, didn't see the patch you had up for
 ages on this one).

 And I agree with so1o.  Doing this without inline style is too hard (you
 either end up with lousy markup or lousy stylesheets).  Someone should
 write a plugin with good markup and good styleability; it will probably go
 into core. :)
