 @flixos90 @joemcgill I put together my own [https://github.com/WordPress
 /wordpress-develop/pull/6289 PR]. This is much simplier. It plays nicely
 with other theme caches and means that theme_json caches would be
 invalidated when calling `WP_Theme::cache_delete`.

 Would love your thoughts on my PR.
