 It’s a SQL database that you can fork, clone, branch, merge, push and pull
 just like a Git repository.

 MySQL->Dolt replication, push/pull mechanics, and
 [https://docs.dolthub.com/concepts/dolt/git/conflicts#resolving-a-conflict
 the conflict resolution approach] could give us a lot for free. PostgreSQL
 support is on their roadmap, too, and perhaps that’s how WP could get
 Postgres support. A few things that worry me are the
 ~[https://github.com/dolthub/dolt#installation 103mb binary size],
 [https://github.com/dolthub/dolt/issues/113 no plans to support
 WebAssembly (in 2019 at least)], and no timeline for Dolt->MySQL
 replication.
