Comment:

 The advice from the project's lawyers is that the emoji detection changes
 aren't required to be reverted. As such, I am closing this ticket wontfix.

 I'm aware this will disappoint some of the people active on this ticket
 but legal advice needs to take priority in this instance.

 If you wish to discuss this issue further, I remind you it can continue on
 a closed ticket.
