 I don't like the idea of admin notices, they are so abused the users zone
 them out, there are even plugins to get rid of them.

 To me the best solution is the button.

 When you look search the button says install now, you click that and the
 button is active and says activate, you click that and you get a very
 passive response greying out the button, it actually is hard to understand
 that is a success.

 Ideally, plugin Devs should be able to hook in there and set the next
 button action, e.g. [ Go to Settings] or [run install wizard]

 This is then in the user 'work flow' and gives them clear options to
 proceed if they want.
