 @flixos90 asked whether we should port these changes to the Gutenberg
 plugin to fix the issue with WordPress 6.2 and 6.3 that are still
 supported there. I don't think it's possible without too much work. I
 believe that in this case, it would be preferable to backport this patch
 to the `6.3` branch in core as part of the planned WordPress 6.3.2
 release.
