 It's specifically the PECR in the UK not the GDPR, apologies for just
 lumping it in with the GDPR - my employer groups it all together when
 referring to it during design sprints and cookie audits - I think that
 lead to some crossed wires. One of the other engineers didn't realise to
 tie some code into the compliance settings and it was a priority one
 incident to roll it back out of production.
