 I have been doing some testing, it seems that it's only the shortcode
 "block" that has this formatting issue.

 If you put your shortcode into a template with a paragraph block,
 everything gets rendered correctly.

 Not a perfect solution as your shortcode will get wrapped with a <p> tag.
