 @Ipstenu

Yes, of course, we should always be polite :)

I wasn't referring to any specific part of the conversation. I was just
trying to highlight the connection between frustration and lack of
 communication :)

Thank you (and all of the community) for your great work!

 > @asafm7 There are MANY ways to converse without jumping to insults (I
was directly calling out a specific person in my other reply for a reason,
 you didn't do anything wrong).

 > Frustration is fine, we all get upset and frustrated and want to throw
our hands up at things, but being **intentionally** mean is not okay. No
place is good for telling people they (or their work) is ''trash''.
 >
 > Now, I agree it's confusing.
 >
 > This ticket is not for 'discussion' in the sense that it is not for
ranting about how much you hate WP/Gutenberg/a person. This ticket's for
collecting data and working on issues, discussing the issue's technical
merits and flaws, offering information that can help the security folks
determine if this was the wrong fix, and finally for talking through
 possible solutions.
 >
 > At this moment, we are ALL stuck waiting for security to make some kind
of call here. And that SUPER sucks! I hate it too. I would love to know
why this is somehow more risky than shortcodes in general, and why a
security release with a breaking change was not more clearly announced to
 everyone.
 >
 > IMO, this absolutely should have been something forums was pre-warned
about. And it should have been a heck of a lot clearer in the release
post. Even just 'Shortcodes no longer work in block templates due to a
security issue. We will disclose this issue....'
 >
 > That probably would have gone a long way to stave off panic.
