 Hello @DavePorter,

 Welcome to WordPress Core's Trac! Thank you for the suggested enhancement
 to the Site Editor.

 The discussion and resolution though needs to happen upstream in the
 Gutenberg repository, where the Site Editor's `@wordpress` packages are
 maintained and enhanced. WordPress Core then consumes these packages in
 `package.json`.
