Comment:

 As part of the [https://make.wordpress.org/core/2023/05/16/proposal-
 retiring-older-default-themes/ proposal to retire default themes], Twenty
 Nineteen might not have any enhancements soon.

 This probably should not be changed now. For what it's worth, I think a
 plus sign could have worked with both the dropdown on hover and the
 expansion from the side on touchscreens.
