 MS Edge was the only current browser without AVIF support. That’s changed
 last month and Edge 124 (Canary) now supports AVIF, which means it’ll
 shortly make its way into main.

 At which point we can switch to AVIF first, with CDNs substituting Jpegs
 if the browser doesn’t support AVIF.  So yeah, let’s get AVIF support into
 the media library ASAP.
