 I'm heading out soon as well for the night, but wanted to leave a note
 here first:

 I'm also fine with this getting backported for 6.3 RC2.

 I think it's good to have the conversation that's happening, but not at
 the expense of the package update + set of fixes missing the RC2 deadline.

 We can make additional changes after RC2 ships if it's needed / there is
 consensus later.
