Comment:

 After discussing this ticket with @peterwilsoncc, it may be worth
 improving server side validation here anyway.

 [https://github.com/WordPress/wordpress-develop/pull/4853 PR 4853] resets
 invalid values to the previous value, and displays an error message to the
 user. E2E tests are included.
