 Firstly, please re-read the description. This ticket is **not** about
 testing Rollback.

 My understanding of @azaozz’s comment was the we’re trading one hook for
 another to test Rollback,  what are other use cases, and it should be in
 another ticket. I believe I have addressed each of those.

 This ticket is **only** about a simple hook addition, it is not about
 changing the update process. Don’t extrapolate it into anything else.

 Please explain why a simple hook addition is bad. This is not part of
 Rollback. This isn’t even close to shiny updates.
