 So what do I have to do more for this to not get buried for another
 decade?

 So far I've made a separate issue (that was closed as duplicate),
 attempted to reiterate in this ticket why this is relevant and added an
 updated GitHub PR according to the collaboration guidelines.

 I'll shamelessly tag you here @SergeyBiryukov since you've closed the two
 duplicates to this one.
