 If so, could you share some additional details around the solution for
 anyone else that comes across the same issue?

 If you're still experiencing this, can you confirm that this was in the
 block editor and not the Classic Editor? Any other additional information
 you can provide (screenshots if possible) to help someone else reproduce
 the issue would be greatly appreciated!

 I'm unable to reproduce this currently with WP 6.3 and many categories, so
 I'm going to close this out as a `worksforme`. Discussion can always
 continue on a closed ticket. If more information is shared to help others
 reproduce the problem, the ticket can always be reopened.
